COMMITTEES

CONSTITUENT ASSEMBLY
A 389-member body responsible for drafting India’s Constitution who came from diverse social, economic and political backgrounds.

CONGRESS ASSEMBLY PARTY
An unofficial forum consisting of Assembly members belonging to the Indian National Congress that met on the side-lines of the Assembly.

: May I suggest that the Honourable Dr. Ambedkar might vary the wording in clause (1a) of Article 144 by the addition of the words “Of ministers” to the words “The Council”?
